Thank you for choosing to book with us at Teignmouth Short Stays. Please note that by making this reservation you are entering a legal agreement with us. Reservations are made and accepted on the following terms. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below. 

Prices 

We reserve the right to increase or decrease the price of accommodation at any time. The price of your stay will be confirmed by us at the time of booking. Prices include VAT for a maximum of four guests plus one infant per unit. Included in the price are the following: Linen, cleaning, gas, electricity, hot water, television and heating. All bookings must be guaranteed by a valid debit or credit card in order to secure the reservation. Teignmouth Short Stays reserves the right to pre-authorise cards up to seven days before arrival. Full payment is due by 30 days before arrival, or at the time of booking if the reservation is made less than 30 days before arrival. Payment can be made by debit or credit card, Paypal, BACS or cheque. 

Cancellations, Curtailments: No Shows and Insurance 

When you make a booking and we have taken a debit or credit card number to secure the booking, a legally binding contract exists between us. Cancellations or curtailments must be notified in writing by post or email, and will only be effective once received by us by 30 days prior to the arrival date. Cancellations or curtailments made less than 30 days before the arrival date are subject to payment of the full value of the accommodation reserved. If full payment is not received by us by 30 days prior to arrival, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. Reservations cancelled in excess of 30 days before the arrival date will incur no penalty. In the event of a no-show, i.e. if you do not cancel your reservation and you fail to arrive, 100% of the total booking value will be debited from the debit/credit card in full and final settlement. We strongly suggest that guests take out travel insurance for short breaks and holidays in the UK to cover themselves against cancellation charges and to protect themselves against possible loss due to any unforeseen circumstances such as illness, adverse weather conditions, traffic delays etc. It is your responsibility to check the insurance you purchase is adequate for your needs. Apart from the case of non-payment as outlined above, we would only cancel your reservation if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. In such a circumstance, we would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund. 

Losses, Damages and Breakages

Guests are responsible for leaving the accommodation in the condition it was in upon arrival. The named lead member is responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which they or other members of their party cause to the accommodation or its contents. Guests will be required to pay for any loss or damage to furniture or equipment provided in the accommodation. We expect any incidents to be reported to us as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor losses, damages or breakages but we may send you an invoice for repair, making good or replacing if the damage or loss is significant. 

Smoking

Teignmouth Short Stays has a strict no smoking policy inside the accommodation. Non-compliance with the no smoking policy carries a penalty charge of £100.00 to cover the cost of extra cleaning and the resulting delay incurred in re-letting the accommodation. We reserve the right to add this cost after departure and to debit the penalty amount from the debit or credit card of the person responsible for the booking unless other payment methods are offered and approved. In addition, any breach of this policy will result in the immediate termination of the stay and no refund will be given for the duration of the booking. 

Noise Levels

We ask that noise levels are kept to a minimum, especially after 11.00pm, with regards to televisions, music, raised voices and door shutting etc.

Car Parking 

Please note that cars are parked at your own risk. We do not accept responsibility for any loss or theft from a vehicle however it is caused. Guests with mobility problems: If any member of the party has any special requirements, please discuss with us before booking. Teignmouth Short Stays accepts no responsibility for guests booking unsuitable accommodation unless suitability was first checked prior to arrival. 

Pets

No pets are allowed inside any of our properties. Liability: Teignmouth Short Stays does not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
